FAQS

How many locations do you have?

We have one location, Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds is the name. We have always been located in downtown West Bend since 1951. Our customer’s don’t mind either, especially since Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls, Brookfield, Oshkosh, Fond Du Lac and many other cities are less than an hour away!

Do you provide insurance appraisals?

Yes, every piece of fine jewelry purchased from Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds will be accompanied by a full insurance valuation.

I have an old piece of jewelry that I don't wear. Can I make it into something new?

Yes, restyling jewelry is our specialty!  Bring it in for our gem experts to examine. Then we will determine if we can give you credit for the metal and use your stones for a new design! Plus, our goldsmith is right here in the store, so you don’t have to worry about your jewels being shipped off to an unknown location.

Can I place a diamond on hold?

Yes, with a small deposit, we can hold any piece of merchandise for 30 days.  Stop in so we can explain our hold, layaway, and financing* options. *Financing is subject to credit aproval.

How do I know my ring size?

There are several methods available to determine someone’s ring size. Some involve elaborate scheming with string, twist-ties, cardboard cutouts, etc!  However we recommend coming in and having one of our Associates measure your finger – so you can rest assured it will fit perfectly!

I have my own diamond, but would like to purchase one of your settings. Can you set my diamond into a Husar’s Exclusive Design?

Yes!  Every ring on our website, in our commercials, or in our jewelry store is available, regardless of whether or not you purchase a center diamond from us.  Many rings, however, cannot be manufactured unless we have the diamond in our possession (rings with halos and other unique designs fall into this category).  Please note that while we will take every precaution to ensure that your diamond is professionally mounted into our ring setting, Husar’s cannot be responsible for any damage that may occur during the setting process.  Cubic Zirconia (CZ), diamond stimulants, clarity-enhanced diamonds, birthstones, or other diamond substitutes are particularly prone to damage.

What are the 4 C's?

The four C’s – Carat (size), Color, Clarity, and Cut are the industry grade standards from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).  Every Husar diamond is specifically graded on these features.

Are your diamonds conflict free?

Conflict free diamonds are diamonds that are responsibly sourced. Conflict free diamonds are mined, cut, polished and distributed in ethical ways. The profits do not fund war, terrorism, the drug trade or other criminal activity. The Kimberley Process was set up to guide and monitor conflict diamonds, also known as blood diamonds. All of the important diamond producing, cutting and distribution companies of the world adhere to the Kimberley Process. Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds only works with diamond cutters, and dealers, who guarantee their diamonds are conflict free, and traded under the Kimberley Process.

Are the gemstones used in your jewelry natural or synthetic?

Every gemstone used in our jewelry was mined from the earth. We do not sell synthetic or lab created gemstones.
