A trip to West Bend isn’t too far. For those that think it is, make a day of it! Here are a few things to do while you’re visiting us at Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds in Downtown West Bend.
Wisconsin's Finest Art
The Museum of Wisconsin Art, also known as MOWA, is located right here in downtown West Bend. The 32,000-square-foot building is home to nearly 5,000 works of historic and contemporary art by over 350 artists. This is the spot to see true Wisconsin culture.
Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary
With a tag line like “Wisconsin’s Wildest Zoo,” how could you not check this place out after you visit Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds? They’ve got an 100 acre zoo and over 300 different animal species.
Good Eats
If it is a bite to eat you’re searching while on your way to Husar’s, we have several suggestions. For a casual place to eat the WB Tap + Tavern or Bazen Head Pub will make you want to keep coming back to West Bend. Otherwise, Krimmer’s Restaurant, across the street from Husar’s, is a 5-star choice for a glass of fine wine paired with a delicious meal.
Regner Park
Get your recreation on at Regner Park. There are so many outdoor activities, including walking trails, a beach, playgrounds, tennis courts, sports fields and picnic spots. During the winter you can also find a huge holiday light display at Regner Park, called Enchantment in the Park. Husar’s House of Fine Diamond is a sponsor of Enchantment in the Park and hosts a 5k family fun run through the lights, known as Husar’s Diamond Dash. Click the link to sign up!
Music on Main
Downtown West Bend is jamming every Thursday evening during summer with Music on Main! Come shop at Husar’s (we’re on Main Street too!), grab a bite and listen to your favorite genre of music, with bands playing rock, country, blues, pop or reggae!
Eisenbah State Trail
Built on a former railroad route, the Eisenbah Trail starts in West Bend and extends for 25 miles. The partially paved trail makes for a great place to bike, hike, in-line skate, or take a walk with a friend, whether they have two feet or four since dogs are permitted.
Farmers’ Market
A nationally recognized farmers market that is steps away from Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds! Come on any Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The West Bend Farmers’ Market features produce, herbal products, bakery items and entertainment weekly running May through October.
