A Certified Gemologist Near You

Since 1957, we have been members of the American Gem Society, the country’s preeminent jewelry trade organization. The American Gem Society grants memberships exclusively to those jewelers who display an ongoing commitment to the highest possible standards of business ethics, professionalism, jewelry expertise and consumer protection. Our father, Marvin Husar, had the distinction of being only the second AGS accredited jeweler in Wisconsin. We honor that legacy by upholding the values that earned him the accreditation in the first place, including a dedication to continuing education. Each year, we take an annual recertification exam to ensure we remain on the cutting edge of industry knowledge and practices.

An Accredited American Gem Society Laboratory

1957 was a special year for Husar’s: not only did we become Wisconsin’s second AGS accredited jewelry store, but we became the state’s very first AGS accredited gem laboratory. This designation recognizes us as trained and certified gemologists.

We maintain this accreditation by continually investing in advanced equipment to effectively grade diamonds, evaluate gemstones, and share expertise with our customers. We are committed to providing each and every one of our clients with a trustworthy, informative, and personable jewelry buying experience.

Our responsible sourcing standards guide the entire journey of our diamonds, ensuring that each one can be given and worn with pride and peace of mind.

Our ethically sourced diamonds are conflict-free. As an organization, the Kimberley Process involves governments, civil society organizations, and industry partners to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds. It institutes strict trade guidelines and requirements on all of its members. In abiding by the regulations of the Kimberley Process, Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds NEVER obtains diamonds from regions of the world where the diamond trade funds conflicts or other human rights violations. Though we are a West Bend jewelry store, jewelry is an international business. We believe our values and commitments extend far beyond the local community.
